YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE TO ORDER AND BUY WINE.

TO PLACE AN ORDER
To place an order for wines listed on our web site just send us an email, along with your address and phone number where you can be reached during the day, with the vintage, name and item number to the following address: wine@bassins.com. You will be contacted within 2 working days to confirm the order by phone and we will take your CC information at that time. We accept Visa and Master Card only or you can send us a check for the amount of the wine.

 

ORDERS FOR SHIPPING
If the order is for shipping please know that our shipping department has been extremely set back by the severe heat and we are not shipping any wine unless specifically stated in the order and we cannot be responsible for wines damaged either due to extreme weather conditions. We will hold your order until the weather improves and we ask our customers to call us to arrange shipping. Rates are determined by zip code and weight.

The sale and shipping of wine is regulated by each and every individual state therefore we can not ship to every state. Before placing your order with us please check www.wineinstitute.org to see if the state you live in permits direct shipping. Know some states consider it a Felony to receive direct shipments of wine while other states require a permit and limit the amount shipped. If you live in one of the states that does not permit direct shipping then MacArthur’s encourage you to write to your State Representative and see what you can do to make this change happen. Your state laws are restricting your consumer rights.

We do offer delivery within the District of Columbia only. Although Virginia and Maryland are in the metro area they are both felony states.

 

AVAILABILITY & VINTAGES
Wine is finite and good vintages sell quickly. Quantities sell out and wines that are highly sought after sell the quickest. We also sell wines as ‘pre-arrivals’ and ‘futures’ meaning the wine is not yet in the country but available to sell. If you are interested in a specific wine that is not yet in we encourage you to place your order it if the quantity is still open.

We monitor our web site on a daily basis but even then there are some wines that are not immediately removed. You will be contacted via phone to confirm your order within 2 business days. In some instances it may be only a question of our re-ordering the wine if buy it from a local distributor or that we have just sold out and can not get it in again.
