It is wonderful to be able to rely on a bottle of red wine, year in and year out, as we do with Bruno Laboucarié’s blend of old-vine Grenache, Carignan, and Syrah from Corbières. To see the bottle there on your counter or resting in your wine rack, and know with confidence that it is ready to offer up its pure, sun-kissed mélange of dark red fruit, baking spices, and earthy minerality is a small, luxurious comfort amid the hurly-burly of daily life. This kind of consistency over just a few vintages is notable, but we’ve been importing Domaine de Fontsainte’s wines since 1978! Few values can match that track record.

Highly energetic, this wine’s radiance and impulsive red berry and rose petal aromas are instantly appealing. Ample and fresh on the palate, its flavors are also tasty and fruity, underscored by vibrant minerality, brought about by the schistladen soils – the preferred terroir of great Grenache wines.

The 2021 Barbaresco Fausoni is a wine for readers who appreciate the more linear, old-school style of Nebbiolo. Chalk, white pepper, mint, tobacco, cedar, blood orange and sweet red cherry fruit all race across the palate. The 2021 won't be ready any t...
The 2021 Barbaresco Pajorè is a wild, exotic wine that marries the intensity of the year with tons of classic structure. There's plenty of richness and body, but the Pajorè is pretty shut down today, as it almost always is at this stage. Sage, lavender...
