The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru comes from their original purchase from 1993. It has a timid bouquet at first, demanding some encouragement from the glass, but eventually offering apple blossom and light chalky aromas. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, very malic and almost Chablis-like toward the lip-smacking saline finish. Very fine, but it will require more bottle age than the Folati?re.
