A ripe but not jammy nose freely offers up notes of poached plum, black cherry liqueur and plenty of spice wisps. There is fine volume and richness to the delicious medium weight flavors that are shaped by a very firm tannic carapace that will require at least a decade to arrive at its peak. This too is worth checking out but note that patience is definitely advised.
