The 2016 Branco Quinta de Foz de Arouce is a Cerceal, aged for ten months in mostly second use French oak. It comes in at 12.5% alcohol. Big acidic bursts start this off, obscuring the wood. It is actually a little tart. There's a hint of flint in the background, but it's well obscured at this point, although that is something I'm always monitoring with this bottling. This looks like an unusually zesty Branco with some potential for aging.
