Writers Tears Double Oak marries both single malt and single pot still whiskeys after a triple distillation, and is aged in both American oak from Kentucky and French oak Cognac casks from the French Allary Cooperage - the delicious result of a collaboration between the Walsh family and the Legaret family in Cognac, France. Nose: Spiced and stewed orchard fruits, lots of sweet and earthy vanilla pod with a side of pear crumble. Palate: Juicy white stone fruits, lychee and lemon peel with a hint of grape skin dryness. Finish: Rich and aromatic spiced dark chocolate.
