The 2019 Mazy-Chambertin Grand Cru has an almost confit-like bouquet, wild strawberry intermingling with creme de cassis and incense, plus just a touch of melted tar. The fresh palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Quite oaky on the finish (100% new); this will require several years to assimilate.
