Bodegas Hidalgo La Gitana was founded in 1792 and since then the company has passed from father to son. Today it is one of the few wine companies owned and controlled by the family and run by the eight generation in direct line of the founder. The brandy is aged in butts of American oak which have previously been seasoned with Oloroso Sherry. Using the traditional solera system, the brandy is aged to a point where the oak and sherry flavours combine with the natural ageing of the brandy to obtain a complex array of flavours and aromas and a deeper colour. Brandy de Jerez Solera is produced according to the methods stipulated by the Denominacion Específica del Brandy de Jerez. TASTING NOTE: Full, rich smooth. Clean, woody aroma with nuances of vanilla and walnuts. Clean and woody perfume, with walnutty notes. Smooth and rich taste.
