The 2018 Chianti Classico is a beautiful wine. Succulent red cherry and plum fruit give the 2018 its racy, juicy personality along with plenty of near term appeal. Sweet floral and citrus notes add a pretty upper register and a lovely sense of expansiveness, with hints of mocha, leather and spice that linger in the empty glass. The 2018 is 100% Sangiovese that spent 12 months in cask.
