The 2018 Ronco della Chiesa demands attention and time, as the wine slowly emerges from an air of crushed stone and dusty florals. However, it's worth the wait, giving way to a display of musky pear and apricot, which further evolves into ripe peach laced with mint, chamomile and hints of green citrus. It's youthfully compact yet silky in texture, as you can feel its medium-bodied frame flexing beneath an array of salt minerals and gingery spices, which last well into the finish. This leaves an oily-like coating of fruit and florals in its wake, with residual acids lingering. It's a gorgeous wine that is sure to reward cellarin
