The Bastianich 2018 Friuli Colli Orientali Refosco Vini Orsone is a pure expression of the popular Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grape named after the reddish stem at the top of the cluster. This expression shows a richly fruity bouquet with wild cherry and plum, all followed by light spice, tar, potting soil and iron ore. The tannins are soft, and the wine's rich texture suggests a pairing with a roast leg of lamb or pork roast.
