Aromas of plums, cherries and lemon rind follow through to a full body that grows on the palate with creamy and layered tannins and a flavorful finish. Shows excellent length and depth and structure. Try after 2021.

The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino shows bright cherry and strawberry aromatics, with refreshing floral and mineral tones, yet in a restrained expression. This is already easy to appreciate. Soft textures giving way to fleshy ripe red fruits and a mix of savory and sweet herbs, with brisk acids, inner leather and floral tones. The finish is long, displaying staining dark fruits and sweet florals, as hints of fine tannin slowly taper off. The 2015 La Togata is a bit one-dimensional at this stage, showing more of the sunny fruit of the vintage.
