Bottled in December 2017, the 1993 Vintage Verdelho has 73gm/L residual sugar. The superb nose offers dried quince, Seville orange marmalade and touches of sandalwood and chamomile. Wonderful! The well-defined palate has a real spring in its step, presenting orange peel and smoky notes and a saline tang toward the back of the throat. Very cohesive and quite persistent, this is an excellent recent bottling from H M Borges.
