Made with organic and biodynamic fruit, the Musella 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella offers a lot of brightness, intensity and the sort of fruit-forward intensity and exuberance that I always associate with the warm and sunny 2015 vintage. The wine shows aromas of dried cherry and plum with soft spice, tar, smoke and sweet clove. The wine is deeply layered and rich, setting up your palate for a thick cut of steak or pork roast. This robust Amarone ends on a slightly sweet note with more dark, jammy fruit. Some 25,000 bottles were made, and the blend is 50% Corvinone, 40% Corvina, 5% Rondinella and 5% Oseleta.
