The 2021 Ried Steinertal Loibner Grüner Veltliner Smaragd opens with a deep, clear, intense and complex bouquet with ripe pear aromas intertwined with saline notes. Round and elegant on the palate, this is a medium to full-bodied, dense, vital and saline Veltliner from the coolish Steinertal cru that reveals fine and stimulating grippy structure as well as a ripe, intense and aromatic fruit. Impressive again. 13.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in October 2022.
