There’s a charming mentholated freshness to the 2019 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Jorio, coupled with a mix of cinnamon spice and dusty rose. It washes across the palate with ease and is silky with medium weight. The 2019 showcases violet-tinged, wild berry fruits, and silty tannins slowly saturate toward the close. This finishes lightly structured with a staining of primary concentration that lingers; nuances of licorice slowly fade. The 2019 is an excellent Jorio in the making. Give it a year of cellaring for the best results.
