A big step up, the deeper ruby-colored 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape Réserve has solid mid-palate depth and medium to full-bodied richness, with beautiful notes of black raspberries, blackcurrants, tapenade and cured meats. I’d happily drink bottles over the coming 7-8 years.
