The 65-year-old vines eked out just one barrel and the fruit is completely de-stemmed. This is quite forthright on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with touches of candied orange peel. It exhibits fine depth with gratifying energy and tension, with plenty of sappy fruit on the finish. I just admire the precision here. This is a great Les Cherbaudes.
