The 2015 Morey Saint Denis En La Rue de Vergy comes from an exchange of grapes with Virgile Lignier at Domaine Lignier-Michelot. It includes no whole bunch. It has a crisp, well-defined bouquet with blackberry, boysenberry and blood orange aromas, nicely defined and quite focused. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, fresh and vibrant with that blood orange note continuing, a gentle grip on the slightly confit finish with a dash of white pepper lending an edge. Very fine, especially for a village cru.
