The 2015 Campo di Tenaglia is one of three wines in Andrea Franchetti's new line of single-vineyard Cabernet Francs. Although the texture here is enormously rich and opulent, this is perhaps the softest and most supple of the three expressions. It is also the most defined by its mineral identity. The bouquet reveals distinctive characteristics of flint, crushed mineral and dry chalk. This adds to the dryness and the overall intensity of the wine. In the mouth, however, it shows savory and rich succulence. This wine really speaks to my tastes.
