Dark ruby in the glass, this wine is made from an indigenous Turkish grape and has a rich bouquet of stewed black fruits. The tannins are slightly grippy at first, then recede, revealing flavors of raspberry, tart cherry, pomegranate and butterscotch. Considering the fullness on the palate, the finish is surprisingly bright.
