...a 70/30 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Blatina, aged for 12 months in an equal mixture of American and French oak (50% new). It comes in at 13.9% alcohol. This is fuller in the mouth than the unoaked red, not surprisingly. They both have superb structure. The most important difference is the wood, giving this a velvety texture and rounding off the wine a bit. As it airs, though, it shows plenty of pop and power, probably even more than the Blatina, which was not shy. Put this in the cellar for a couple of years.
