The 2016 Clos du Val d'?l?on is very pure and stony on the nose (gunflint), very fresh and rather lean compared to 2017. On the palate, this is a delicate, rather filigreed and salty wine with racy minerality and good tannin structure. Powerful, long, salty and very tense, it needs lots of time to open.
