The most overt wine in the range, 2016 Barbaresco Cole is powerful and bombastic, as it so often is, with a real sense of gravitas and tons of sheer character. Plum, chocolate, spice, new leather and sweet French oak are all kicked up a few notches in this decidedly opulent, massive Barbaresco from Moccagatta.

The 2016 Barbaresco Cole (with only 3,000 bottles made) offers toasted notes of espresso rind, dark fruit and light tones of exotic spice. The wine is juicy, generous and fruit-forward with lots of dark concentration and saturated berry notes. The wine is bigger than your standard Barbaresco, and it's ready to serve with marinated, grilled steak tips.
