A fine follow-up to the 2016 reviewed last year, the 2017 Gigondas is an identical blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah, all aged in tank. The ripe Grenache shows in hints of stone fruit and ripe cherries and the silky, supple tannin structure. Full-bodied and fruit-forward, this pretty wine offers early-drinking elegance.
