The 2019 Maximin Grunhaus Abtsberg Riesling Kabinett is pure, fresh and stony on the floral/herbal and even flinty-scented nose. On the palate, this is a concentrated yet fresh and piquant, tensioned and crystalline Abtsberg Kabinett with juicy fruit and remarkable elegance. It is rich and sweet for a Kabinett, but it's also so buoyant and vivaciously salty and pure. An impressive Kabibett that just needs a decade to fly. The 2019 was bottled with 77 grams of residual sugar and 8.2 grams per liter of total acidity. 7.5% alcohol. Persistently salty. Tasted from AP 08 20 in July 2020.
