Lauer's Ayler 2019 Schonfels GG Fass 11 is cool, precise and flinty on the intense, herbal and reductive nose. On the palate, this is a pure and elegant, silky-textured and juicy Riesling with a long, compact, nervy, mineral and salty finish with very good tension and a certain astringency. Lean but energetic and with grip and tension. Promising. Tasted as a sample in April 2020.

Stephan Reinhardt - Wine Advocate ((92-93))

What amazing spice the nose of this wine has, and the stone fruit aromas are very beautiful, too! Super concentrated and super elegant on the palate, then just when you've processed that, the finish of this wine lifts off from Cape Canaveral and heads straight out towards the stars. Drink or hold.
