The 2019 Meursault Genevrieres 1er Cru is much more closed on the nose compared to the Les Charmes-Dessus, offering scents of lemon curd, patisserie, clementines and linseed oil. Quite complex but tightly wound. The palate is well balanced with impressive depth. There is a lot of concentration and richness here, though the acidity effortlessly counterbalances this. Ginger and light rhubarb notes toward the long finish complete an excellent Genevrieres.
