The 2021 Thörnicher Ritsch Kabinett feinherb "Monster" opens with a coolish, crystalline, still reductive and purely stony but also fruit-intense bouquet with ripe stone fruit aromas. Round and lush on the palate, this is a fine and elegant Kabinett with crystalline and savory acidity. The wine is juicy, crisp and finely grippy but still young and will benefit from further bottle aging. 8% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted in October 2022.
