This is my favorite bottle among this group of new releases from Cantina del Pino. The 2018 Barbaresco Gallina offers a beautiful blend of fruity aromas, floral intensity and salty mineral definition. The bouquet transitions from tart cherry to lavender to crushed oyster shell. It closes with more red fruit and cassis as the wine opens in the glass. This is one of the best Barbaresco tasted in this report. I can't wait to see where it goes 10 years from now.
