The 2020 Meursault Village comes from 12 parcels and sees no new oak (barrels one to five years old). Taken from tank, it has a taut, fresh, walnut and smoke-tinged bouquet that has a pleasing strictness. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, saline, lightly spiced with an almost Charmes-like finish. This is work seeking out.
