The finest base cuvee produced at this estate is the 2016 Chateauneuf-du-Pape, which is 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 15% Syrah and the balance Cinsault, all aged in a mix of foudre and older barrels. Beautiful plums, blackberries, garrigue, and marine-like seaweed and iodine notes all give way to a pure, polished, full-bodied Chateauneuf-du-Pape that has integrated acidity and a great finish. It's a sensational classic cuvee that will keep for 2+ decades.
