The 2015 Grand Mayne has a candied bouquet with high-toned red cherry, crème de cassis and mulberry aromas, well defined and generous with flecks of dark chocolate developing in the glass. The palate is mediumbodied with fine tannin and very well judged acidity. I appreciate the focus and freshness in this Saint-Émilion, nicely poised with a persistent, quite mineral finish. A superb wine from Jean-Antoine Nony. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.
