I loved the 2019 Vacqueyras Vieilles Vignes, which is a step up over the classic cuvée. Blackberries, black cherries, peppery herbs, and graphite notes all emerge on the nose, and it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, silky tannins, and a great finish. This beauty is just loaded with Provençal charm and can be enjoyed any time over the coming decade. I’d certainly buy it if I saw it.
