There are quite powerful vegetal notes at first sniff of this Barbera-led Clare Valley blend, reminiscent of brassicas, beets and tomato leaf with a iodine tang. With time in glass, these characters are better integrated with the plum and cherry fruit, and they're even more tempered on the palate, where metallic acidity and cat's tongue tannins are woven into juicy, silky fruit. Personality for the win here.
