Savory and perfumed, the 2016 Franciacorta Riserva Annamaria Clementi entices with a collage of dried owers, sweet smoke, crusty bread and lemon zest. It’s soothingly round with a burst of candied citrus elevated by lively acidity. A crystalline bead of nely etched bubbles cascades across the palate. There’s an attractive fruit sweetness here despite its zero dosage. The balance is spot-on. The 2016 tapers o long and remarkably fresh, leaving a gentle mineral tinge and hints of green apple that linger on the close. Disgorged: Autumn 2024.
