Loosen's 2023 Erdener Treppchen Spätlese is precise and intensely aromatic on the elegant and complex nose that reveals ripe, tropical fruit aromas such as mangoes intertwined with weathered slate and almond cake aromas. Round and refined on the palate, this is a mouth-filling juicy, saline and savory Treppchen with a backbone of crystalline acidity, around which the generous but elegant and fine fruit snuggles. 8.5% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted in December 2024.
