The 2024 Riesling Ayler Kupp Unterstenberg No. 12 is from the deeper soils of the lower reaches of the Ayler Kupp. Yeastiness on the nose blends in with smooth, ripe yellow and green apple against a backdrop of slate. The palate has a phenolic edge, lovely body and mouthfeel, plus a well of saltiness that seems to have its root in stone. The 2024 is a dry, beautifully textured Riesling. (Dry)
