The 2023 Cabernet Franc Caywood Vineyard is spicy, supple and quite deep, but also very elegant. It's slightly more reserved than the very forward Willow, holding its cards close to the chest. It's a beautifully chiseled wine with ample structure and a little more firmness than the other Francs in the lineup, which leaves me hopeful for its aging prospects. Juniper, orange peel, chalky red berries and dusty flowers lend tons of complexity. Give this a year or two in bottle to open up.
