ArteNOM Seleccion 1123 comes from the Rosales family's Destilería Cascahuín in El Arenal, Jalisco, where master distiller Salvador "Chava" Rosales Torres continues a family tradition of small-batch tequila production. The ArteNOM line highlights individual distilleries by their NOM registration number, treating each master distiller's regional style as a distinct expression of craft, and this selección showcases the Rosales family's approach at Cascahuín specifically.

This blanco is made from Tequilana Weber agave grown in the Tequila Valley at roughly 4,200 feet, lower-brix valley fruit that carries the earthy, vegetal, and peppery character typical of Lowland-style tequila. After distillation, the spirit is barrel conditioned for 21 to 28 days in brandy casks that previously held Oaxacan mezcal, a technique once used for high-end blanco tequilas in the early 1900s and the reason this expression is called Blanco Histórico. It's confirmed additive free, bottled at 43% ABV.

The nose offers roasted pineapple, warm butter, and baking spice alongside smoked pepper and cider notes. On the palate the tequila is viscous and warming, with hot cinnamon, black pepper, sweet potato, vanilla, and licorice layered over a base of almond and hardwood smoke, finishing peppery, bright, and lastingly sweet.

"NOM 1123 Blanco

ArteNOM takes a non-traditional approach to their portfolio by working with idyllic Tequileros at their respective distillery to create a lineup of expressions as unique as the distillers themselves. An exploration of the full line is to dive deeply into the heart and minds of the diversity of craft in making artisanal Tequilas. As the name indicates, through ArteNOM, these distillers are truly able to showcase the ART of their NOM.
