ArteNOM Seleccion 1414 Reposado Tequila 750ml

ArteNOM Seleccion 1414 is distilled at Distilería El Ranchito in Arandas, in the highlands of Jalisco, under chief distillers Sergio and José Manuel Vivanco. The distillery is also connected to the Rosales family, known for their ownership of Tequila Cascahuín, and the ArteNOM series showcases the personal craft of distilleries like this one by highlighting each producer's official government registration number.

This reposado is made from estate-grown Blue Weber agave cultivated at high elevation in the Highlands, cooked in traditional brick ovens and fermented using wild yeast drawn directly from the surrounding fields, a technique meant to preserve the raw character of the land. After twice distilling in copper pot stills, the spirit rests for roughly six months in used American white oak bourbon barrels, adding a light touch of wood without masking the agave beneath. It is bottled without additives at 40% ABV.

The nose shows cooked agave with green apple, vanilla bean, and light spice, sometimes leaning toward smoked citrus and roasted sweet potato. On the palate, caramel and roasted agave meet baking spice and citrus peel, finishing clean, warm, and lingering with soft oak and a peppery edge.
