Evan Williams Bottled in Bond Bourbon 750ml
Evan Williams Bottled in Bond comes from Heaven Hill, the Bardstown, Kentucky family company that owns the Evan Williams name, honoring the Welsh immigrant credited as Kentucky's first commercial distiller in 1783. Evan Williams ranks as the second best-selling Kentucky straight bourbon brand in the world, and this bonded expression, often called the White Label, joined the lineup in 2012 as a higher-proof counterpart to the standard Black Label release.
To carry the Bottled in Bond designation, this bourbon must come from a single distillery during one distilling season under one distiller, age at least four years in a federally supervised warehouse, and bottle at exactly 100 proof. Heaven Hill distills it in Louisville and bottles it in Bardstown, using the company's standard mashbill of seventy-eight percent corn, twelve percent malted barley, and ten percent rye.
The nose brings caramel layered with vanilla, oak, and a touch of barley sweetness. On the palate, bright citrus meets vanilla and black pepper, giving the whiskey more spice and structure than its standard-proof sibling. The finish is warm, long, and dry.
