Jim Beam Black 7 yr Bourbon Whiskey 1.75L

Jim Beam traces its lineage back over two centuries of Kentucky distilling, now operated by the James B. Beam Distilling Co. under Beam Suntory, with seventh-generation family member Fred Noe serving as master distiller. Jim Beam Black first appeared in the 1970s as a fuller-bodied alternative to the standard White Label, carrying an eight-year age statement by 1978 before later editions dropped the stated age in favor of the "Extra-Aged" designation.

In June 2024, the brand relaunched Jim Beam Black with a restored seven-year age statement and raised the proof back up to 90, after Noe and the blending team tasted through older batches and found the whiskey hit its best balance at that age and strength. The bourbon is distilled from a mash bill of 77 percent corn, 13 percent rye, and 10 percent malted barley, then matured in new, charred American oak barrels for the full seven years before bottling.

The whiskey opens with charred oak, brown sugar, and vanilla, joined by light caramel and a touch of cinnamon. On the palate it is full-bodied, delivering rich caramel and warm baking spice, with a smooth, lingering finish of oak and gentle spice.
