Meletti is a family-run liqueur house established in Ascoli Piceno, on Italy's Adriatic coast in the Le Marche region, in 1870. Founder Silvio Meletti sought to create local liqueurs that could rival expensive imports, developing a proprietary bain-marie still that enabled a slow, gentle evaporation process for highly aromatic distillates. That production philosophy, along with the family's original recipes, has carried through five generations, with limoncello now sitting alongside amaro, sambuca, and anisetta as a staple of the house's traditional range.

Meletti sources its lemons from Sorrento's coastal groves, harvesting them in mid-October and transporting them quickly to the distillery to preserve their oils and aromatics. Production centers on infusing the lemon peels, rather than the juice, in a precise blend of alcohol and sugar, with no added coloring or stabilizers. The liqueur then undergoes a refined aging process intended to round out its sharper edges and enhance overall purity. The finished limoncello is bottled at 30% alcohol by volume.

The liqueur appears pale yellow and slightly cloudy, with a light lemon-oil fragrance. On the palate it delivers a bold, rich mouthfeel with pronounced but unharsh lemon flavor, balanced by clean citrus acidity and a delightfully sweet finish.

"Refreshing liqueur based on lemons prepared according to the best Italian liqueur tradition obtained from the extraction of essential oils through the infusion of lemon peel in alcohol, stands out for its perfect balance and enveloping taste. "
