Codigo 1530 Tequila

Friday October 25th, 2019

November 30th 1-4pm

Join us Friday night in welcoming the good folks from Codigo 1530, makers of some of the finest tequilas we've tried recently. With no commercial pressure to ever bring this private tequila to market, a small group of Mexican families have heartily funded doing just that. For several generations, a local Amatitán artisan and distilling family has passionately produced this spirit, never veering from the centuries old codes and customs – "Los Códigos" – that have made it the most selective tequila in the world.

Girolamo Russo Estate
with Kathleen McCormack

Saturday October 26th, 1-4 pm

We Are Elated To Add Another Great Mount Etna Winery To Our Extensive Selection...

Introducing Sicilian Producer Girolamo Russo!

His Wines Will Be Presented By Kathleen McCormack Of Le Storie Imports

The Girolamo Russo estate was founded in 2005 by Giuseppe Russo, in memory of his late father. The family is native to Passopisciaro, one of the key villages at the heart of Etna's rebirth over the last decade. The Winery is positioned on the north face of Europe's largest active volcano, Mount Etna, in the north-eastern Sicily. The Russo's have 26 hectares of land in and around Passopisciaro, with 15 hectares of vineyards surrounded by olive and hazelnut groves. The vineyards are high up, between 650 and 780 meters above sea level, with many vines over 80 years old. Giuseppe works the vineyards organically and makes the wines himself focusing on primarily indigenous varietals of the area Nerello Mascalese, and Carricante. Parcels are vinified separately, so the winery can bottle wines that reflect the diverse terroir and identity of vineyards from where they come.
