We've been direct importing the wines from Lassarat for seventeen years now. Our Burgundy buyer, Joe Kluchinsky selected this Domaine after tasting over 115 different producers at the Grand Jours de Bourgogne. Regarded as one of the Macon's best producers, Roger Lassarat founded this Domaine in 1969 in the sleepy town of Vergisson located right in the heart of the Maconnais. The Domaine possesses some of the best vineyards in the area (many vines are over 100 years old). Lassarat practices organic farming, uses only naturally present yeasts for fermentation, and does not filter. What nature gives him is what's in the bottle. We're happy to say that nature was very kind to the Domaine in 2018. This is one terrific bottle of Chardonnay. Very pure and precise, with a nice mineral component this is a joy to drink.
