2020 Chianti Classico Riserva Volpaia

The 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva is terrific. Macerated dark cherry, spice, leather, tobacco, dried owners and underbrush are some of the many notes that grace this super-expressive Riserva. The 2020 is a touch somber, but that only adds to its considerable allure.
92 Points Vinous Media

Attractive aromas of ripe cherries, dried strawberries, dried orange peel, spices and crushed stones, following through to a medium to full body with compact tannins that are firm and finely grained. Smooth and textured with vivid fruit underneath and a lingering finish. From organically grown grapes. 94 Points James Suckling

2019 Brunello di Montalcino Mastrojanni

The Mastrojanni 2019 Brunello di Montalcino has a pretty bouquet with dark fruit and something exotic that recalls camphor ash, wood fire ash, garrigue and dried herb. It is rich and evenly concentrated with fine chalk on the tannins and good phenolic ripeness (with no green bitterness). A great food pairing is grilled game or the French magret de canard. This straight village bottling does a great job, and it's ultimately more accessible than many peers.
95 Points Wines Advocate

Deep red berry fruits, sweet spice, cinnamon and cloves introduce the 2019 Brunello di Montalcino. This is silky to the core, with depths of red fruit and spice, all guided by juicy acidity. Licorice and clove combine with tart raspberry as the 2019 finishes surprisingly fresh and only lightly structured. - Eric Guido

2018 Harmonium Nero d'Avola Firriato Sicilia IGT

Harmonium is the winning combination of Nero d'Avola's strength and Firriato's style. After 15 years of analysis and microvinification, Firriato identified three different crus of Nero d'Avola in the the Borgo Guarini Estate: Ferla, Lepre and Beccaccia. Cultivating vines from these three different Nero d'Avola clones ripened and vinified separately and blended to create this iconic label. The complexity of the soil and climate conditions allow the different organoleptic characteristics of the three single vineyards to be expressed in harmony with this magnificent blend.

Creamy oak gives this a rather hedonistic feel to the blackberries with walnuts and some new leather. A hint of figs. The medium- to full-bodied palate is very flavorful with creamy, lush tannins and a lingering finish. An outstanding nero d'avola. Very enjoyable now.

2017 Amarone Della Valpolicella Riserva Musella

The 2017 Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva is a seductress, with a vibrant blend of spiced black cherries and blood orange that gives way to sweet violet florals. It sweeps across the palate, juicy yet refined, with polished red and blue fruits motivated by fresh acidity. Tactile mineral tones emerge toward the close. Medium in length, this finishes remarkably fresh, leaving the palate thirsting for more as a bitter, sour berry twang slowly fades. The 2017 Riserva is dangerously drinkable.
94 Points Vinous Media

Intense aromas of cocoa dust, sweet spices, and wild blackberries leap from the glass. Black cherry cola and a medley of spices take center stage, creating a rich and complex flavor profile. Dark and intense on the palate with dusty tannins, finishing with an array of amaro-like flavors that look to be paired with umami forward dishes
