Single-vintage bottling from the tiny, and expertly cared for Domaine d'Esperance in the region of Bas-Armagnac. The soil here is sandy iron-rich clay that brings the prounounced fruity quality to their Armagnacs. The 1999 bottling is 100% Baco 22A distilled slowly in a small, century-old column still, and then aged for seventeen years in locally made Gason Oak barrels, first in new barrels and then moved to older barrels to complete the aging process. It is bottled at cask stregth (49%abv) with no sugar, boise, or coloring added.
