Massenez Framoise Sauvage or "wild raspberry" is a style of eau-de-vie that uses raspberries as the base distillate. They say it's noteworthy for its "delicacy" and "mirrors the fragility of the raspberry." Fruit eau-de-vie is generally a drier taste but with aromas and character that reminds intensely of the fruit.
Massenez is a company producing fruit and berry eau-de-vie (clear spirits distilled from fruit) that also serve as a base for a line of liqueurs. The company was founded in 1870 in France and today still ferment and distill their own alcohol on site. For liqueurs, they use a maceration (or immersion) technique with all-natural fruit.
