Straight out of Libourne... It's Pomerol week at MacArthur Beverages!
We are excited to feature a large selection (quite frankly, nobody else in the area comes close to this selection!) of wines from the famed Pomerol appellation of Bordeaux. What makes Pomerol so special? It’s all about the soil. In this case it’s mostly clay and gravel and the special blue clay here makes for wines that are rich, silky and downright seductive. Merlot is king here, and nowhere else in the world does it achieve such opulence and finesse. The vineyards are tiny, production is limited, and yes — that explains the rarity (and the price). But when you open a great bottle of Pomerol, you’ll understand exactly why these wines are so sought after. You certainly need a few bottles of Pomerol in your cellar for that next milestone or special occasion. -Phil Bernstein
